About Me

My photo
College Student. Sometimes dancer. Aspiring fashion journalist and everyday style enthusiast. I started my blog back in 2010 on a whim, and now it has grown into the visual representation of the power that I believe fashion can have. It's not about having clothes it's about what you do with them, what you wear says who you are. Fashion is transformative, and a chic bag or outfit puts a smile on my face as much as a good book on a rainy day. My blog is about dressing the undergrad and young professional, because so little markets cater to our style. You've officially been accepted into The Undergrad Style File. Outfitting the Occasion: Weddings

Pearl Necklace: Old Navy and White-enamel post earrings: Charlotte Russe

Denim Low-Wedges: Payless

Floral Cut-out Dress: Charlotte Russe
Hey undergrads, and stylish young people! I'll keep this one short and sweet, as we're all trying not to evaporate from this summer heat. Welcome to a new feature here at The Undergrad Style File, called Outfitting the Occasion. Where I will show you what to wear for specific occasions; including everything from interviews to internships. On this week's post, the Summer wedding. I performed an original poem at my uncle's wedding this past weekend and thought I would step up my ensemble a little since I had to speak at a podium. I opted for this fabulously retro dress, the neckline is reminiscent of the 1940's, all I needed were white gloves and a little hat. Very Rachel McAdams in The Notebook. But anyway I kept the rest of the look simple with white-enamel earrings and classic pearls. The wedges added a bit of height and the bow detail kept the look feminine.

When outfitting for a summer wedding think semi-formal, always check to see if the bride and groom have a dress code. If not then think about dressing in your Sunday best or just your best. A simple dress, or skirt and blouse with classic jewelry is always a good choice.

Stay stylish,
Tiff
