About Me

My photo
College Student. Sometimes dancer. Aspiring fashion journalist and everyday style enthusiast. I started my blog back in 2010 on a whim, and now it has grown into the visual representation of the power that I believe fashion can have. It's not about having clothes it's about what you do with them, what you wear says who you are. Fashion is transformative, and a chic bag or outfit puts a smile on my face as much as a good book on a rainy day. My blog is about dressing the undergrad and young professional, because so little markets cater to our style. You've officially been accepted into The Undergrad Style File. The Sun in My Face, and toes in the Sand

So I finally did it...I took that day trip to the beach with my crazy friends that I've been planning since the dawn of time :)...So here's how the day went, my friends, me, Atlantic City and 90 degree weather, it was a whole day, of photos, fashion, and tomfoolery...now let's give you what you came here for...THE BEACH FASHION!

I have officially come down with "pin-up fever", I love anything vintage especially those styles inspired by the pin-up fashions of the 1940's and 50's, anything and everything from halter tops, polka dots, big floppy hats, glamour girl curls, and high-waisted shorts. So I was feeling inspired at the beach...I picked up this too cute not to be seen white floppy sun hat to save my skin from the sun, and at 10$ from a boardwalk shop it saved my wallet too. I scored this floral 1950's-esque swimsuit for 20$ from Burlington Coat Factory, and felt like it harkened back to the old days. Throw in my last minute mid-rise denim shorts from Old Navy for 15$, and I felt like a pin-up girl. My entire beach ensemble was 45$ which is usually the cost of a decent swimsuit...but when your a fierce shopper you find a way to beat the odds <3
